Business Spotlight - Jono Davis

1. Why did you start your business?

The Jennie T. Anderson Theatre has been around for decades. Its programming has been through many iterations and I wanted to pivot and focus our work on the community and Atlanta industry. We've had many amazing tours and performers come through, but the Anderson Theatre's past programming had little to do with the talent in our city. I've always been a fan of concert musicals. They've been around for a while but they were very few and far between, in Georgia. I thought it was a perfect marriage to integrate our local artists with a large-scale concert concept.

2. What do you offer?

For artists, we have a shortened production process. This allows those with limited availability to join us for shows. The concept alone allows different ways to tell the story. Different muscles are used when you don't have full sets and spectacle to lean on. For patrons, it's a unique theatre experience unlike anything in this town. We love to produce rare musicals, so it's not just a new way of telling the story, it could even be a new show unfamiliar to audiences.

3. Why did you want photos?

I love Kevin Harry Photography because of the stories told through the photos. He has matched all my needs and ideas, and adds so much depth to each image. Whether it be for headshots, camps, or shows, his work is great!

4. Your advice to entrepreneurs?

It never hurts to ask. It never hurts to be transparent with your goals, needs, and wants. You never know who is listening and who can boost you to the next step.
